Watching the game film back is likely to frustrate Frank Spaziani. His team was outclassed but still had opportunities to take control of the game. Here are Four Factors. These are the good and bad takeaways from the game.
1. BC's offensive issues are bigger than one QB.
Regardless of if Chase Rettig is able to play again this year, BC needs to make some major fixes to its offense. The offensive line cannot open any holes. WRs are dropping passes and the play calling is head scratching.
2. The defensive line needs to generate more pressure.
Eventually BC had to start blitzing because the front four couldn't get much pressure on Crist. Alex Albright is having a great season, but his linemates need to step up if BC is going to get things back on track.
3. Bobby Swigert is a star in the making.
The only Silver Lining from the game is the confirmation that Bobby Swigert is potential star in the making. He finds open spots, had good hands and showed surprising speed against Notre Dame.
4. BC also needs to work on its mental focus and avoid penalties.
BC has a reputation for not committing penalties. this team might ruin that rep for good. This game was filled with dumb and costly penalties.
