Delton Williams is listed a three-star outside linebacker by Scout.com, but likely will play safety or even running back at the next level. Williams and Erie (Pa.) Cathedral Prep have a game this Friday but he is still planning on being in Lincoln on Saturday.
“Yeah I set that up today,” Williams said. “Coach Rick Kaczenski called me from Nebraska and I have a game on Friday against St. Francis that I was going to fly out after, but he told me to go home and fly out in the morning.”
Williams was supposed to visit Lincoln for Big Red Weekend and again for Nebraska’s home opener this fall. This weekend looks like a go and he says that he wants to get a closer look at a town and a school that have put a lot of players in the NFL that are having success.
“I am just looking forward to getting a closer look at Lincoln and at Nebraska. There are a lot of players in the league that are having success. Players like Ndamukong Suh, Prince Amukamura and Dejon Gomes are doing well.
“I really just want to get there and get a feel for the school. It’s a long way from home and I need to know if I am going to be comfortable there or not.”
