The Sylacauga High School senior arrived to Clemson for his official visit on Friday.

So what made him want to go ahead and commit to Clemson?

"Just what I saw when I was down here, the people I was around, I trust coach," he told CUTigers on Sunday morning.

Plenty stands out about the Tigers.

"The chance of winning," Green said. "Then, me coming in -- there's a good chance of going -- they're trying to get to a national championship. What else could anybody want?"

The 6-foot-3, 197-pound athlete arrived to Clemson on Friday afternoon around 4:30.

"When I got there, we just hung out and ate, then I went out with my host [Martin Jenkins," he said.

Saturday's docket was jam-packed.

"We took a tour, then we ate. We took another tour, then went to coach's house for dessert. Then, we just hung out," Green said.

On Sunday, he closed with a 1-on-1 with head coach Dabo Swinney.

"He was just talking about me being an athlete, coming in and contributing early. He thinks that I can come in and contribute early," Green said.

Before Green arrived to Clemson for his visit, he picked up an offer from Auburn, but he will not visit The Plains next weekend.

Green also had offers from Kentucky and California.

As a senior, Green averaged 22.3 yards per catch and hauled in five touchdown receptions. On the defensive side of the ball, he had 25 tackles and four interceptions. He scored three touchdowns on kickoff returns and another on an interception. Recommended Stories
