Scout.com caught up with Wellesley (Mass.) head coach Bill Tracey to get a better perspective on his standout defensive tackle Thomas Claiborne.

Claiborne, 6-4 and 325 pounds, has received an early offer from Boston College.

He has received interest from a number of teams including: Maryland, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Connecticut, Syracuse, and Richmond.

"This is a kid who is very highly motivated to play college football right now," Tracey said on Tuesday afternoon.

"He really likes Boston College, but he has not made any type of commitment yet."

Claiborne earned first team All-Conference (Bay State) honors as a junior, but what sets him apart from others?

"He has natural strength, he has never really trained hard until this year," Claiborne said.

"He has great power angles, and for a kid his size he is tremendously agile. He runs so well, he's not just a gap stuffer he can run sideline-to-sideline.

"This is a 325-pound kid who used to play ice hockey."
