Matt Ryan is becoming the Steve McNair of college football; the kid can't start a game week without some sort of lingering injury, but you can't imagine him not playing. This week is no different, as the Eagles stay conservative early and pound the ball behind the massive OL. Ryan throws for about 190 yards on the day and two touchdowns, but L.V. Whitworth shoulders the load on offense with 110 yards and a score. FSU's spread offense catches the Eagles by surprise at the outset and Drew Weatherford connects on an early deep ball, but the defense answers with a pick before the half setting up a Sid Vicious field goal. Eagles hold on in the second half and Ryan connects with Tony Gonzalez for a late score to salt the game away. 24-14 BC.

Matt Ryan makes like Willis Reed against the blazing fast FSU defense, throwing one touchdown to Ryan Purvis. L.V. Whitworth runs for another score, and he and Andre Callender combine for 130 yards. The bolstered BC secondary picks off Drew Weatherford twice and the highly imaginative Jeff Bowden makes the Seminole fans pine for Dana Bible. The "unconquered" black FSU uniforms are burned in a giant pyre at midfield after the game, but the Florida State troopers stop Jenn Sterger from throwing Jeff Bowden into it. 17-13 BC
