Pierre-Louis Talks About BC
Kevin Pierre-Louis, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound outside linebacker, committed to Boston College on April 7th and has no plans on changing that. "My commitment is very solid," Pierre-Louis said.
With offers from Boston College, Duke, Connecticut, and Stanford, Pierre-Louis talked about the two coaches who have spoken to him the most throughout the recruiting process.
"Coach Siravo is who recruited me, but I got connected with (Bill) McGovern, and I had meetings with coach Spaziani as well, but coach Siravo and coach McGovern are the two who I've been talking to."
He went on to talk about where the Eagles project him playing in college. "As of right now they have me at outside linebacker, but they also are looking at my offensive capabilities, and maybe doing a few offensive plays," said Pierre-Louis.
After speaking about projected positions and offers, Pierre-Louis seemed content to talk about why he committed to Boston College.
"Well, first I wanted to get the college experience and college life, and that is one thing Boston College definitely has to offer," Pierre-Louis said. "And there are so many other colleges around there – plus the community is like family."
"For example, when I first committed to BC, (Mark) Herzlich's grandmother lives in the area and read the paper, and called my school and said, "Welcome to the family," so that definitely gave me the community feel to the school."
The family feel, though, was not the only reason Pierre-Louis felt good about his decision. Pierre-Louis said academics played a role in his decision to commit to the Eagles, as well.
"Academics definitely were a factor. BC has a lot to offer, and it will give me a lot of opportunities to excel further than football."
Currently, Pierre-Louis only has one camp on his mind for the upcoming summer. "If I go to any camps this summer, it will be the BC camp," he said. "Other than that, I'm just going to prepare for the upcoming football season."
Pierre-Louis noted that he plays a variety of positions in high school. "I played fullback, running back, and middle linebacker/outside linebacker," he stated. "I think I'll play those positions as well as I did last year."
