At 6'7” and 270 pounds, Aaron Kramer is hard to miss. In the world of recruiting, however, even the biggest guys can fly under the radar. The fall is the time when new names emerge as coaches get a chance to see senior tape and evaluate guys they have been watching. Duxbury High School tackle Aaron Kramer is one prospect on the radar of several BCS programs.

For fans of Eastern Mass football, Duxbury football is well known. The local powerhouse has long been a fixture at the top of the football world. Standout offensive tackle Aaron Kramer is one of several players drawing interest from major college football programs.

“I have been talking to Boston College. They invited me to a game and I went to a game last fall. I went to their one day camp this summer and I really liked it.”

Aaron is not new to the world of big time college football. His father was a three year starter at a Midwestern school.

“My dad went to Notre Dame. He was a three-year starter for them at defensive end. He knows a lot about how this works. He played against Hershel Walker and was there when Joe Montana was a senior. So, he knows a lot about college football.”

At this point, no one has offered. Schools of interest are waiting for his senior tape. But, several BCS programs maintain strong interest.

“I have not been offered yet, but I'm talking to a lot of schools. I did not do too many camps and have not sent out tape yet. Everyone wants to see my tape from this year.

“BC is really interested. Penn State is also interested. UMass is very interested and UVA a little bit. I've also been talking to Iowa because a friend of mine, Shane DiBona is going there. I'm going down to UConn in a couple of weeks for a visit. I was also at Notre Dame for camp and they want to see my tape before they offer. I was also at Michigan and I'm talking to their coaches.”

As far as position, everyone agrees. Aaron is projected to play offensive tackle at the next level.

“Everyone is looking at me as a tackle, an o-tackle. I've played guard and tackle in high school. I played center my freshman year too. I'm 6'7” 270 now. So, tackle makes the most sense.”

For now, the plan is to get ready for the upcoming season, send out tape in the fall and keep talking to the schools that are interested.

“I'm in the weightlifting program four days a week now. Then we have the First and Ten camp. After that it is two-a-days to get ready for the season. I'm looking forward to getting started.

“In the fall, I'm going to do some visits. I will be going to UMass for a game and probably BC for sure. I went to the Notre Dame game last year at BC. Dad was not too happy, but I had a good time. I will go to some other games and visit some other schools. I'll also be sending out tape from my senior season.”
