Al Skinner's Eagles, after two disappointing losses to top-25 teams, find themselves out of the top-10.

The consecutive losses to Michigan State (12/6) and Maryland (12/11) mark the first time since January of 2004 that BC has lost consecutive games on the hardwood. On 1/28/2004, BC lost to Pitt by a score of 68-58. Three days later the Eagles fell to UConn by a score of 63-58. BC went on to win ten out of their next 11 games following those back-to-back losses.

Despite the two losses BC remains at number 13 in both the AP poll and the ESPN/ USA Today Coaches Poll.

This year's BC squad played both games without projected starting center Sean Williams who is scheduled to return sometime in the next few weeks. Forward Akida McLain made his season debut against the Terps and had four points and four rebounds.

Against Michigan State poor outside shooting doomed the Eagles while a 5-15 free throw shooting performance and a late costly turnover proved to be the team's undoing versus Maryland.

The Eagles' next game is Sunday against Texas Southern at Conte Forum. Tip-off is at 3:30 and the game will be televised locally on NESN.
