The Boston College men’s basketball team opened up the season on a sour note when it was announced three players had been suspended. They shook it off and thumped Dartmouth at home to notch their first win of the season. Team captain Tyler Roche lead the way with 30-points and five blocks, as BC cruised to a 30-point win over Dartmouth.   Full Story

Boston College went into last night’s game against #25 FSU in need of a win to keep their post-season hopes alive. Locked in a fight with five other conference teams for the final two or three tournament bids, the Eagles needed something to distinguish themselves from the pack. With a week off after their stunning victory over Duke, BC went on the road to face Miami in a crucial game for both teams. Miami was the better prepared team and used a barrage of three pointers to knock off the Eagles 69-58.   Full Story

This week the league places five teams in the RPI top-25 and seven teams in the top-50. The down side is the upper middle of the league has been beating up on one another. That has led to a drop in the rankings, at least by the humans. Bracketologist Joe Lunardi still has the league sending eight teams to the big dance. It what was one of the most exciting games at Conte Forum in years, the BC men’s basketball team knocked off #6 Duke. The win added another positive to this young team’s tournament resume and put the Eagles in position to challenge for one of the top four seed in the conference tournament.   Full Story

The Boston College men’s basketball team dropped their second consecutive game last night, losing to #11 Clemson 87-77 at Conte Forum. The loss drops BC into seventh place in the conference, two games behind four teams bunch ahead of them in the standings.   Full Story
