| Claiborne earned All-Bay State Conference honors as a junior.
Claiborne reports a 2.3 GPA/SAT unreported/Sept 21 ACT. "I started off slow as a freshman and a sophomore. I just blew my studies off then. But I'm serious now and doing much better in all my classes and keeping a B average."
Claiborne:"I wouldn't mind playing offense if I had to. I go both ways now. But I really don't like offense. I'm a great run stopper on defense. I'm a hard-core, bloody knuckles-type who just wants to go out there and hit. I'm also a very agile big guy. I can really move and I'm really flexible. My speed and my aggressiveness are my biggest advantages."
Coach's Comment:"He has so much natural strength, he never really trained hard until this year. He has great power angles, for a kid his size he is tremendously agile and runs very well. He is just not a gap stuffer , this kid can run sideline-to-sideline," Wellesley Head Coach Bill Tracey |
