| Extremelly athletic prospect for his size, McClain moves as well as any big man in the country and already tips the scale over 300 pounds. Active player with a good motor with a great first punch and strong hands who is tough to get by after first contact. Better at pass protection than run blocking especially when moving down the line as he can push outside his body too much and overextend. Still working on his overall technique. |

2007 Awards: ASWA First Team All-State, Under Armour All-State Game Orlando, Press Register Elite 18, Press Register Super Southeast 120 at #50, AJC Super Southern 100 OL.
McClain: "I would say my strengths are getting to the second level and blocking the linebackers. I am good at hooking the defensive ends. My pulling and trap blocking are good. I am good at protecting the quarterback and running back."
McClain was named ASWA All-State Honorable Mention 5A OL as a junior.
